In July 2021, the True North Academy professional education series on Functional-guided Precision Coronary Functional Intervention, jointly held by Insight Lifetech and the Chinese National Radiation and Therapy Clinical Medicine Research Center, as well as the True North Precision PCI Workshop on the 18th Congress of Cardiac Imaging and Cardiac Interventions (2021CICI) were convened in Shanghai and Beijing, respectively.
During these training sessions, renowned Chinese cardiologists widely discussed the clinical value and significance of functional (specifically, FFR) guidance in enabling precision PCI, through lectures, case discussions, topical seminars, live cases, and simulator demonstrations.
We expected that these training series would be valuable to the entire Chinese interventional cardiology community in speeding up the widely adoption of functional-guided precision PCI, and improve the down-to-earth clinical practice of FFR, in particular, rapid-exchange FFR microcatheter, guided coronary interventions in China.
